A beautiful Volga Linen children’s size bedding set hand embroidered with all your favourite classic children’s book characters. I have worked on this project all year and I really wanted to give as many people a chance as possible to have it in their home. It felt like a great opportunity to raise funds for two charities supporting children who aren’t always lucky enough to have access to the magic of kids’ books or caregivers who can give them the attention of a bedtime story.
Children Not Numbers are doing incredible work in Gaza and, among other things, implementing educational resources for the thousands of children who have had no choice but to miss almost 2 full years of school. No child should have to sacrifice their education to focus solely on making it to the end of each day alive. No one deserves to live that way.
Schoolreaders is an incredible UK based charity whose goal is for all children to leave primary school with an appropriate reading level to get the most out of their senior school education and beyond. They match volunteers to local primary schools to give one to one reading support sessions to students who would benefit. Currently over 35,000 children receive support from a Schoolreaders volunteer each week but so many more students would benefit!
NB: The duvet cover is a toddler size (rather than a standard single bed) - 120cm × 140cm but I will throw in the duvet inside for free if you are entering from the UK (and if you need it). However, it does not only need to be used on a bed. It would look fantastic on a chair or sofa in a cosy reading corner or just a general blanket in a playroom. A fun addition to any children’s space!
